iTunes Foreign Language Podcast Lessons

iTunes.com from Apple has a section for free podcasts, including free foreign language lessons. What’s a podcast? Much like a radio or TV show, it’s a video or audio series on any topic. You’ll find podcasts from independent creators, as well as big names such as HBO, NPR and ESPN. To use the resources, you will need iTunes software on your computer. You can download this software for free. Apple asks for your email address, but you don't actually have to provide it to get the download. With iTunes open, click the top menu for podcasts. There are hundreds of thousands of them.

In the right-hand column called Podcast Quicklinks you'll find Language Learning. For example, in French alone, there are 23 series of free foreign language lessons to choose from. Most of the language lessons are in audio format, rather than video. Click the title of a lesson to see how many episodes are available. When you choose episodes, they download automatically and are stored in the iTunes library on your computer. You can unsubscribe at any time.
